Al Fortier-Parker owner of alistbeauty is a professionally trained hair and makeup artist and one of Toronto’s elite artists specializing in luxury bridal hair and makeup.   He has more than 25 years  experience in bridal hair and makeup and 30 the hair industry .   Al’s skills have allowed him to work with some of Toronto’s leading commercial photographers as well as the Miss Universe Canada Pageant, Wedluxe Magazine, TV, and many others.

Al is a trained esthetician, which gives him a unique and deep understanding of skin and skincare.  With his extensive knowledge of skin, hair and make up, Al is able to incorporate all his training for  each of his clients and deliver high end results that you would naturally expect from a true professional.

Over the past 25 years, Al has dedicated much of his time training and honing skills primarily for the bridal industry and his clients.  Along with a great team of artists, he has helped create hundreds of happy brides and their bridal parties – all with unique and different flairs.  Alistbeauty’s bridal hair and makeup has been featured in the pages of Wedluxe, Elegant Weddings, The Knot, Vanity Fair and many more.

Al understands each  client will have different needs. As such,  alistbeauty takes a truly customized approach to ensure the expectations of all are met. Alistbeauty suggests you book trial for your hair and make-up, during this session we meet and talk about your requirements, concerns and answer any questions you may have.  During this trial Al and his artists give you a preview of your hair and make-up style, it is all documented so it is easy to reproduce on the day of your wedding.   After this initial meeting with alistbeauty , it is easy to enlist alistbeauty’s wedding hair and make up service on location in Toronto or anywhere. just fill out and the sign the contrast and put your deposit and your day is booked for you.

Alistbeauty strongly believes in no pressure sales as you already have enough stress, anxiety, and other things to take care of before you wedding day.   Alistbeauty  does not charge extra for travel fees within the Greater Toronto Area or for early morning weddings. There mat be travel fee depending on your location outside of the GTA.

Choosing The Right Wedding Photographer

This is simply One of the most important days of your life!
You want to capture all the memories so that your Love story is placed in a time capsule that you and generations can cherish for forever. The best way to prepare yourself to make the right decision is to educate yourself and do some homework.
Having a web site and a digital camera does not make one a professional . A good photographer can snap all the days great moments regardless what situations may arise and works with the flow of your day.
Meeting your photographer is critical to go over your look and mood of what your pictures should look like. There are many different styles to shooting a wedding so it is important talk about different style and what you like and don’t like.
Booking early so that you have time to get to know more about who you are working with. Don’t make this a last decision.
Using the photographer for your engagement shoot is a great way to spend some quality time together. This opportunity to work closely and develop a repertoire will help you feel more relaxed .
Finalize your wedding day schedule and all the logistics of the how the day will play out.
Stick to the finalized schedule agreed on but, be flexible with some last time changes, it takes time to get the right shot and working with big groups of family and friends requires time. Choose your locations, time of day and work travel times into the schedule so you do not lose much needed photo time.
Have a plan B or a contingency plan in place. It’s all ways good to be prepared if something needs to change.

When it comes to photos, Alistbeauty has worked with some of the most talented artists in Toronto. Here are some of the hottest wedding photography trends of 2017.

1. Drones

One trend that we have used for our front page video is a drone which showscases the church. The drone gave us a new vantage point to capture images of the top of the church steeple in a new and different way, the wedding couple walking on the boardwalk, and places you may not be able to get by standing in one spot or on the ground. Some say the quality of the photo will most likely not be as good as the professional DSLRs your photographer use, but we think the unique bird?s eye view gets you the bigger picture. 2. Film Photography

According to fine art wedding film photographers, you can expect to see more wedding couples looking for the softer more flattering look then the crisp digital photos. Film photographers have noticed a huge increase in demand already, often leading to booking far in advance so start your search early. What exactly is film photography? Why are couples so obsessed with it? Essentially, it’s the use of analog cameras and negative film (think developing in a dark room old school versus on a computer). Film renders light, color, and tones differently than digital images.

3. Editorial Style Shots
